Review and Giveaway ~ Donor by Ambrielle Kirk

Description:

Elaina was once a tracker of Dresdan, an ancient species of vampire. For years, she served District 5, whose prime agenda is to create a new race of humans. As a result of misguided politics and greed, the District becomes corrupted from the inside out. Before Elaina can expose the truth, District 5 discovers that her blood type contains the elements to create a successful hybrid. She becomes the hunted, but protection is found while in the presence of one vampire…

Vicq won’t rest until he destroys District 5 and their immoral experiments are halted. Too many Dresdan have been captured and exterminated, threatening their existence and painting them all as animals. As he plans his attack against District 5, master vampire Russo orders his death for violating a prime law of Dresdan. But Vicq is not ready to cease existing…especially since he’s found salvation with Elaina.

With very few on their side, Elaina and Vicq must cultivate a plan to ward off their enemies. In the process, they find lust, love, and new meaning to their special bond.

The giveaway below is different from the one a few days ago. So even if you entered the other one, you can still enter this one too! :D You can find the tour schedule here.

You see, when first approached to review this book I signed up. You are not always guaranteed a spot and I hadn't heard back so I signed up for a different tour. I ended up getting accepted for both, hence two different posts and giveaways. Normally I try not to repeat info so soon in between posts but in this case it was unintentional. It all worked out as I posted an excerpt with the post the other day and I'm giving you a review today. This book and author are worth a second look. :D

My Thoughts:

This is an adults only read! ;-)

I first found this author while hosting a post for her werewolf series. I liked those books and I can honestly say that I may even like this series better which surprises me. Don't get me wrong. I expected to like it. Better than werewolves though? No way!

It didn't take me long to devour this book once I sank my teeth into it. lol! What? It's a vamp story.

In this book you'll find vampires (called Dresdan), human trackers from District 5, lots of action, danger, romance and of course oodles of steamy scenes! ;-)

I have a feeling that this series is going to be awesome. :-) I can't wait to see District 5 taken down!

I recommend reading Donor if you like stubborn heroines and a hunky vampire hero who knows what he wants and won't let anything stand in his way.

I received an ecopy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. Donor was scorching hot! ;) I thought it was fangtastic! I am looking forward to reading Donor Reloaded which is supposed to be out this summer.

If you learned that things were not as you were told (all Dresdan are not evil) would you have the courage to take a stand against those who deceived you?

  3. Im glad you liked this. I was actually looking at it today and was going to get it. :) I think I would confront them. Im not one to exactly bite my tongue about things. To me lying is a deal breaker. Plus I dont wouldnt believe them when they tell me all of these people are bad. I always try and believe the best in people and I believe that they could be redeemed. I mean yes their vampires so you would think oh yea there all evil but if I personally had never met them then I would think that maybe there could be the possibility that they weren't all bad. Im half asleep so sorry if that was totally confusing. LOL Loong day. :)

    1. i guess it depends when you are told that too if they told you the same lie since you are a toddlers it can be hard not to believe it but after you discover the truth i'm sure you will make them pay^^ ( and yes honesty is something capital!)

  4. It would definitely be hard to do, but I would. I would want someone to do the same for me, plus I'm all for sticking up for what's right. Though I doubt it would be easy, I'd still try.
