What's in a name??????

Okay so in an effort to try something new and hopefully fun, I need your help!

When I reviewed The Cupcake Diaries a new idea for a blog post was found. :-) You can see the birth of this idea here.

Vampedchik, Miki and myself had quite the conversation about some yummy recipes.

We decided that it would be fun to do a post that included a recipe once a month or so.

I whole heartedly agreed. You see other than family and friends, life for me is all about reading and eating. I love to do both and thus our new idea for a post was born. :p

How can you help?

It is pretty easy.

First of all, I'd like to ask for patience (we may need it, until we get our ducks in a row).

Next, in order to have a post we need a fitting title. We have a few ideas which I'll list further down. I'd like you to tell me your favorite. You are more than welcome to suggest one of your own too!

Third, I'd like to invite anyone who'd like to take part. If you'd like to do a recipe post you are more than welcome. Just let me know.

Since this is primarily a book blog, I'd like to feature a book with each recipe. Hopefully we can find a book that we think applies to the recipe. Sometimes though we will ask you for a book suggestion instead. If all else fails, I'll post about a book that may not apply but seems yummy none the less.

I hope this new post will be well received and even anticipated.

Now here are some ideas we had for names:

Reads and Feeds, Paperback and a Snack, Cooking and Booking, A Book and a Batch, Book Cook, Love book, inspiring recipe, Cooking for your books, Sharing the love...fill your tummy, Food love, Tummy love, Eat and Read, Read and Eat

Which name is your favorite or do you have a different suggestion?

    3. haha well I did have to plug in a mixer for part of it! :) One of them was a hawiian salad the other is more of a fruit soup! LOL my family dubbed it "Pink Sludge" I think the actual name is Champagne salad. and then the choc. cake. Those were the 3 I was going to send Brenda. I have to get the recipes for the 2 salads written out still so I can email her. And Im cool with whatever its named. :)

  4. I think this is a great idea! I like Reads and Feeds for the title. Other suggestions might be Book Lovers Delight or Book Lovers Recipes.
If you need suggestions for books to review, Laura Childs has a series called A Tea Shop Mystery that includes recipes and tea time tips.

    1. thanks you booklady but at the moment we are not looking for books ( or at least i'm not) BUt we will present a book that we think can be linked to the recipe of the month ( ex we do a chocolade cake and we have learn and enjoyed a book where the character is fond of chocolade^^) if we can't think or a book then we give teh recipe and you tell us which book it made you think of ^^

at the moment that's the idea of teh project but perhaps it will change later we will see

    2. If you could think of a recipe with them then that would be totally cool! OO like some kind of cookie or something?

What a cool idea! You already know I love matching my outfits to my books. Matching a snack--or a full meal--to a good read sounds even better! =D

As for a name, I'm partial to "Booking and Cooking". =)

So how will it work? Will the recipe come first and be matched with a book? Or will the book come first and inspire the choice of recipe?

    1. Glad the idea tempts you Enbreyhiliel.
To start we will come with the recipe first and match it with a book or ask you to match it with a book^^ now perhaps later ( or perhaps it has already happened that) a book will inspire you a recipe and then we will precise that in the post but first we will share some recipe we find yummy or healthy and good

for example i have a recipe for a drink but so far i don't see which book it could work but i also have one for a dessert and i just read the book where the main character would be killing for such a dessert ^^ so i will match that book with the recipe of that dessert^^

i really hope you will have fun and find sometjhing you like with this new feature here^^
( and i will try to remibnd my co sharing recipes givers to take note and precise which kind of measurement are used and if possible the quivalent for international so hopefully people from all over the world will manage to have the recipe without trouble)

    2. Yea with my recipes Im not sure what book to add so it would be up to you guys too think of books for it. Which is part of the fun. :) and Miki dont look at me for the math! LOL I can try and figure out conversions but totally not my strong suit!!

      Delete
    3. it's not math dear simple excercise and i'm sure they are some conversion table somewhere ( will have to look for that too)^^ after all we want every want to be able to enjoy them so we we do our best^^ ( and perhaps in the large group of follower we have a math addict that will correct us is needed)

      Delete
    4. That would be nice. We can always see if theres like a table of conversions and post that with the recipes? I'll have to look into it.

    5. i will let that up to you first then^^

for teh rest another title idea:

Blow up the papilla not the kichen
Don't blow up teh kitchen, only papilla (don' know how it sound in english but teh french translation was nice)
